Abstract Feathers

When I take pictures of wildlife, I do my absolute best to be respectful and not disturb the animals' normal behavior or routines.

I don't get to go out on photo shoots too often so when I do get a chance, I grab my camera and get outside, no matter the weather.

On this particular evening, it was cold and windy. I only had the light from the twilight glow after the sun had already set. I spotted a group of snowy egrets hunkering down in some low hanging brush along the creek. They all had their heads tucked inside their breast feathers trying to sleep and stay warm.

Although I couldn't get any photos of them playing or fishing, I was able to walk away with a fun abstract of this bird's feathers as it pooped them out to stay warm.
